Commissions

I love making commissions! It is a chance to collaborate and end up with a pot that is extra special and personal.

Some examples:

Memory Vases are collections of names, places, events or dates that trigger a memory. I collect words from the widest possible range of friends and family and add them to the vase. We are all so many different people and everyone we know experiences us in a different way. A memory vase tries to pull all these unique experiences together.

Gnomes are guardian angels. Recent commissions include a 1 metre tall warrior in full Highland dress, and a representation of someone’s Dad to celebrate their being appointed as Lord High Sheriff of Oxford in full ceremonial dress of breeches and frock coat. I’m currently working on a family of five and a spaceman!

Children’s table ware is always fun. Pasta bowls with dinosaurs. Plates with diggers and lorries. And am working on a mug with frogs and dragon flies for a little chap named River.
